Funds Manager

Rosario is a proven leader with 20+ years of experience in corporate development, corporate finance, operations, and restructuring work. A  hands-on team manager with a deep background in the fields of technology, digital media, real estate, retail, non-profits, telecom and business services he has experience in each phase of the corporate lifecycle, including start-up, later-stage growth, restructuring and insolvency situations.

In his role at VEC as Federal Funds Program Manager Rosario oversees the administration and execution of several VEC program funds, including the Left Behind Worker Fund, BIPOC Business Grant program and vaccine equity funds amongst other programs.

Most recently Rosario served as the Interim Director of Finance of citiesRISE, a global nonprofit platform committed to transforming the state of mental health policy and practice in cities and beyond to meet the mental health needs of populations across the world. In his role at citiesRise Rosario was brought on to transition the company from an incubated initiative to an independent 501c3 company.

Prior to his work with citiesRISE, Rosario served as the CFO of Lamplighters Yeshivah, a Montessori lab school based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn where he oversaw management of the finance, HR and infrastructure functions. At Lamplighters Rosario managed the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, oversaw the preparation of all financial reporting, and advised on long-term business and financial planning strategies.

In his 20+ years of affiliation with KIT Capital, an entrepreneur-led merchant bank, Rosario has led over two dozen financial advisory assignments and been instrumental in many of the firm’s direct investments in technology, real estate and media-related assets. In his role as COO of KIT Capital, Rosario oversees internal operations, helps guide overall strategy, and leads the firm’s Financial Advisory and Restructuring Services practices.

Previously, Rosario acted as Corporate Development Manager for KIT portfolio company KIT digital (now called Piksel, www.piksel.com), focusing on capital restructuring and acquisition initiatives. Previously Rosario held the post of Corporate Development Manager at JumpTV, where he held previous posts of General Manager of Africa and the Caribbean. Prior to working with KIT Capital, Rosario served as an operations and management consultant in the business services industry.

Rosario has been a member of the board of directors of a number of public and privately held businesses, including KIT Media, Servador, Logimetrics, and Litigation Management Group.

Rosario graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Rutgers University and speaks Sicilian Italian.
